Jeff became of-counsel at Widmer Mensing in 2015, and became a partner with Widmer Mensing in 2017. His primary practice area is family law, including divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, spousal support, restraining orders, and division of property. Jeff also handles plaintiff's side personal injury, general litigation, and mediations. Jeff has extensive court room experience in counties all over Oregon, and has handled both bench and jury trials throughout his career. Jeff graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelors degree in Philosophy in 2005, and discovered his love and talent for the courtroom while studying at Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College as a member of the regional mock-trial team and a national semi-finalist in immigration and asylum moot court. Jeff graduated in 2009, and was admitted to the Oregon State Bar that same year.
Born and raised in the Northwest, Jeff began a solo-practice in Portland, Oregon in 2009, and relocated his practice to Bend, Oregon in 2013 due to his deep love for the region, his love of working with regular people, the thrill of the courtroom, and because he wanted to see things done a little differently. Jeff prides himself on making the legal system more accessible to regular folks, and on his ability to effectively bridge the communication divide between the legal world and the client.
Jeff has lived in Washington and Oregon his entire life, and has made his way south from Seattle to Bend over the years. When outside of the office you will most often find Jeff sailing, camping, biking, or skiing with Patrick.
